Editorial policy

The rules we hold ourselves to, written down so you can hold us to them.

Stores cannot pay to be listed

Listing is free and position is not for sale. There is no paid placement, no sponsored slot, and no affiliate link on any page of this site. If that ever changes, it will be marked as such on the page where it appears, and this document will say so before it happens.

What we refuse to list

We do not list, and will not link to, stores whose business depends on any of the following. This is not a matter of taste; it is the condition on which this directory can exist at all.

  • Counterfeit, replica, “1:1” or trademark-infringing goods
  • Prescription drugs, controlled substances, unapproved injectables
  • Tobacco, vaping and nicotine products
  • Weapons, ammunition and components
  • Gambling and betting services
  • Adult content and sexual services
  • Surveillance or software marketed for stalking or intrusion

We also do not list ingestible supplements. Cross-border rules for those vary too widely for us to give a buyer a confident answer, and a directory is the wrong place to be uncertain.

How a store gets in

  1. Collection. We assemble the basics — name, domain, category, location — from public sources, and record where each fact came from.
  2. Automated screening. Every store is run against a compliance filter that hard-excludes the categories above.
  3. Verification. We fetch the store’s own published pages and record its shipping destinations, payment methods and stated returns window. We take its self-description as a factual claim, not as our opinion.
  4. Editorial review. The write-up is checked against the pages above before it is published, and every factual claim in it is traceable to one of them. Drafting is assisted by software; the sourcing, the judgement and the corrections are the editorial desk’s. Nothing is published from a template, and a listing with no verified facts does not carry one.

What we will not do

  • We do not copy product photography or product copy. Images on this site are ours. Where we state a fact about a store, it came from the store’s own published material or from our own check, and it is attributed as such.
  • We do not publish machine-generated listings as if they were reviews. Some drafts begin as machine-assisted summaries of public information; every one of them is then edited and signed off by a named person before publication, and the database records which is which.
  • We do not invent a rating. The scores you see are our own editorial judgement against fixed criteria, entered by a reviewer, and they are labelled as ours. They are not aggregated from customer reviews and we do not mark them up as though they were.

Corrections and removals

If anything on this site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. If you are the merchant and you want your listing changed or taken down, ask — use the report form or email [email protected]. We action removal requests within seven days, and we do not require a reason. A delisted store is also excluded from future collection runs so it cannot reappear silently.

Corrections log

Material corrections are recorded with a date. As of this writing there have been none.
